Regular cleaning with a powerful vacuum cleaner (with or without brush attachment)
Stain removal
The fresher the stain, the easier it is to remove
Soak up the worst of the dirt with an absorbent white or undyed cloth
Remove solid particles using the back edge of a knife or a spoon
Use special carpet shampoo e.g. Tapigold onto the bristles of a natural fibre brush or cloth, carefully remove the stain from the carpet by rubbing gently
Do not moisten the stain, as sisal tends to shrink when wet and water stains could result
Thorough cleaning
Thorough cleaning to remove greasy or oily residue is necessary from time to time
